Hi everyone and happy holidays to all,
As thread title alludes to, I have Manjano pests and tried:
Joes Juice
Kalk paste
Manjano wand
removing by hand
All of these methods really just cause more of them to appear as spores get shot out when you touch them. Besides removing coral or rock it is attached to, there is no way to remove them without causing more.
Is there any kind of natural predator to try and eliminate this pest?
thanks in advance,
RZ

I use kalk paste to zap. As much as I want this to be precision exercise by turning all pumps off, the kalk eventually settles onto the pest. Once the pumps turn back on again theres a bit of kalk flurry all over the tank. This part always makes me nervous because I think about how toxic or potent the kalk paste is to things I don't want to kill flying around the tank..

Anyone run into issues with this kalk paste storm around tank? I don't care so much about pH bump given the volume, but more about the actual paste being an issue.

Aiptasia-X is actually one of the better products for them. They didn't do alot for my aiptasia, but they seem to work fairly well for majanos.

I think once the snowstorm happens, the Kalk has already reacted and you are just looking at harmless calcium carbonate snowflakes. I have never had problems with it. Hopefully, Randy or someone who has fresher chemistry knowledge will chime in on that.
