Mantis in my Fuge??

Alright everyone, I have a love affair with mantis shrimp (don’t tell my wife). But I have a 69 gallon cube and an eshopps r-100 as filtration with a discarded fuge hammer with no macro and a few pieces of live rock and 5 inch deep sand bed. So is it a good idea to put a mantis in there??? Pros? Cons??

I still have mine in display. She's a smasher and she hasn't bothered any of the fish or "big" inverts except the snapping shrimp whose burrow system she took over. I haven't counted snails and hermit crabs lately, though.

Big inverts include skunk cleaner and peppermint shrimp, urchins, black elephant limpet, serpent star, a cowrie, and, surprisingly, my sexy shrimp. I do target feed her when I see her. I don't see her very often.

A mantis shrimp will definitely kill and consume snails, crabs, and other slow-moving inverts as well as small sleeping fish. They are best kept in a separate tank unless you don't mind losing anything else you put in the tank with them.
Mantis shrimps can also get very large (think lobster), in which case they are capable of killing anything that passes by.
They are beautiful and amazing animals, but IMO not good in a mixed-species tank.
In their own tank, they are awesome.
