Long story short, found a hitchhiker last week and he's so beautiful I decided to keep him. He's got his own tank with live rock, heater, filter, air stone. He immediately hid in the rock for days. Thought he was dead. Tried different foods just in case but kept siphoning them out uneaten.
Two days ago. Half a shrimp from Rods Food on the tongs. It gets snatched into a small cave.
Yes! I think. He's alive! Success!
Yesterday. Try again. Half a shrimp. Snatched it into his cave.
Half hour later....
Checking to see if I need to clean up any debris as it is a small tank after all.
He pokes half his head out of his cave.
Stares me down.
Darts back into the cave.
Returns with the remains of the shrimp and throws it as hard as he can at my face on the other side of the glass.
So APPARENTLY now he doesn't like shrimp either. Did I not season it correctly? Does he want to speak to a manager?
*sigh*
Can anyone recommend a particular brand/type of food? I don't want to do live snails etc.
