Mantis shrimp killers

i have 2 smasher mantis shrimps and theyve been killing my hermit crabs ever since they hitchhiked in with my live rock. Is there any trap to get them out? I also have a spotted cleaner shrimp that im scared hes gonna get(i has 2 pederson shrimp and they went missing so in guessing the mantis got to them)

They are hard to trap. Always watching what your doing. Easiest is to pull the rock they hide in.

Thats what i heard but i really dont want to because its covered in purple algae and is my best rock. Such a hard decision

You don't have to toss the rock just put it in a qt or bucket with something else for the mantis to hide in and check out. When you notice shrimp is not in rock pull it out of container.

I had to sacrifice a snail to lure this guy out of the rock but it worked.

You can try a to trick one into a critter keeper with live bait if yours are more adventurous but you have to be waiting to pull them right away or they can bust out...

They are pretty adventerous. Ill put a little hermit crab in it to lure him
