That is amazing. I do not, however, want (another) one. I use to have a 75g in my bedroom, complete with Tampa Bay Live Rock, which a one point was notorious for mantis hitchhikers. Every thing was ok for a year or so before the "popping" began. I never saw the mantis, just his damage, but I often heard the pop which would wake me from my sleep.

Oh gosh... I think the Mantis Shrimp is extremely beautifully coloured, but holy canola they are frightening. & after watching this video, I believe my fright is justified even more, haha! Thanks for sharing this video, Tomoko! It was very interesting.

8Ball used to have a beautiful Peacock mantis shrimp. I believed he named it Thor. Thor was quite a charactor. Reilly and I used to enjoy watching Thor.

My Alpheus pistol shrimp, a tiny beautiful shrimp with red and white stripes that lives with my high-fin goby, makes a big cracking sound as well although it does not pack a lot of punch. He's more of my speed.
