I recently received the results of a new ICP water test. I now also want (in accordance with advice) to increase the values of some major elements such as Boron, Fluorine and Potassium. However, these elements are offered in ample quantities.
Do you have any tips for manual dosing small amounts? Do you use syringes? Do you transfer your supplement container into a smaller jar to easily remove liquid with a syringe?
In open containers (part of) the liquid evaporates very quickly. This is visible with, for example, potassium because it crystallizes very quickly.
Pouring the remainder after use with a syringe back into the original bottle is not really acceptable in my opinion.
For auto-dosing it's easy. I have a 4-pump dosing station with which I compensate (several times) per day for the consumption in my aquarium. I also have a number of pipette bottles that I use to dose some extra iodine and iron a few times a week. Pipette bottles are just not very accurate. For some elements I only need less then 1 ml at a time.
suggestions?
thanks in advance
