Hi I'm new here and shopping for my first set up. Thought it was going to be a JBJ 45 rimless then I saw 60 and 93 cubes and a Red Sea Reefer between the 93 and the 250 Reefer I am looking at around 2700 with everything. It's a little daunting any thoughts on saving money but still having a good set up? maybe back to the 45 or a 60? Thanks

If this is your first tank setting a side money because you can shop around for better prices on tanks and so forth. Its always good to start around 100 gallons of tank water because the bigger the tank the longer you will have to fix a problem. Lets say the Ammonia spikes it takes longer to get to a lethal level in a bigger tank than a smaller tank. The other thing is there's a few fish most people want that need at least a 100 gallon tank. With that said my first tank was a 60 gallon. Here's a good site that offers regular tanks with the option for starfire glass ( its clearer glass if you didn't know) Reef ready meaning drilled to make it easier plumb in a sump and cabinets and canopies along with rimless tanks and acrylic tanks. I don't have anything to do with them but I will be buying a tank from them soon myself because they are reasonable prices and its around 75.00 to deliver it depending on if they deliver it or ship it. There website is glasscages.com. I hope this helps you out some I shopped around for tanks and the price of the same tank can be 600.00 here and 3400.00 there for the same tank in less you just want to buy the name brand.
