I have a nano 10g tank, its been up for a bit over a year now so not new by any means. I noticed one of my bounce mushrooms was doing really poorly for a few months so I tried a few things to remedy over past few months..
-raised my alk from 7 to 8.5 (done by dosing 1ml every few days till it was raised), also dosed equal part calcium
-dosed 1 iodine drop per week
-started dosing amino acids, 3-5 drops along with feeding reef roids 2x a week which i've been doing for a year
-algae wise i was dealing with bubble algae and turf algae so dosed vibrant. vibrant killed off the bubble algae but turf algae is everywhere

im not sure if any of these have to do with my current state but over the past month many of my corals have not been doing well
-green nepthea leather is dying, has completely bent over and shrunken
-favites have lost alot of color
-many zoas have started dying off
-bounce mushroom still not happy

since things started dying about a month ago i stopped all the things i was trying and just did some heavy water changes, now just doing constant 10%(1g) weekly, however things have not gotten better over the past month.

other params:
alk: 8
calcium: 420
nitrates: 0-5ppm
phos: .028
light: xr15 at 40% intensity on for 8hrs a day

Sorry your having such a hard time. I believe that your on the right path by just keeping it simple. Changes do take time and corals like slow changes.

I would keep up the water changes and good husbandry. Give it time and it should turn around.

Thanks it's been tough, lost a few frags of zoas already and a couple more are just straight up closed or half closed..

Meanwhile I do have other coral in the tank such as euphyllia that are doing completely fine..
