Some hitchhikers in my (almost) barebottom tank have gathered the little grains that's fallen from the rocks to build houses and formed a village at the bottom of the tank.
I just thought it was quite interesting to look at from the top.
The small mounds are like igloos, with an entrance and all.
The residents seem like some tiny shy shrimp like inverts.
Don't really mind too much about not knowing what they are for the time being. Hope to get a camera and some decent pictures of them someday.
