Can you take a photo of the closed polyps for us to see? They may offer a clue to why they are closed.

Michael, how high in the tank are they? What are your tank parameters? What is your flow like in your system?

Hello Michael. From the picture there seems to be some white growths around the stem. I had them on my purple hornets before and they were affecting growth and making them close also. Some here thought it might be fungus and suggested I dip them. I made a mixture of peroxide and ro water and dipped them for several minutes until bubbles started forming on the top. I believe I did about 4 dips during that week and eventually they got better. Have you dipped them in anything? Good luck.

@ Stray
yes i can do. when i am at home i make an pic and post it!

@ murfman
the Tank is 220x40x40 and there an lot fo acans, rics, zoas and other corals.
the last test was

no3 = 0
po4 = 0
ca = 420
mg= 1340
KH = 9

the zoas are in the middle of the tank and over the complete tank is 8*39 watt ati sunpower.

i have 4 friends who have a frags from this zoas, but my frag is the only one whos life.

at first time i think it it the salt we are using, that is the new from ati but know i take the new red sea and the reef crystals in mix, but
they wouldnt like to open :(

@ fab1971

no i newer dip them.
i have furan 2 at home, but my last zoas i dip with furan are all death :(

what you are using to dip?

Thank you ;)

Michael, there are some Zoas out there that are just really hard to keep alive. Sopranos are the 1st that come to mind for me. You said that you are the only one to keep them alive, out of all your friends, this could be one of those that need perfect conditions, all the time.

Try the dip and let us know how it goes.

I make a mixture of 25% hydrogen peroxide and 75% ro water and dip them in for around 3 or 4 minutes. Water starts creating a bunch of bubbles. I also have a product called revive but haven't used it yet. None of my other zoas ever had a problem. There is a sticky about dipping in this section you should read to get a better idea and do a search on fungus for other ideas and pictures.
