Started noticing many tiny (3-4mm) reddish brown worms swiming around in the tank at night...

Are they good or bad?

Had not noticed them in the past... not sure if the came out because i added Salifert Flatworm Exit earlier today. So far I only saw and captured 3 flatworms (after the medication)... is that normal? Shoul i be seeing dead flatworms on the sand bed?

I also have a question on how to adminiter Salifert Flatworm Exit.. the instructions provided in the box are a little vague.

Thanks. 20220116_020813.jpg

These are detritus worms and an indication of overfeeding, lack of maintenance or both. You will need to siphon them up periodically and increase siphoning intervals and cut back on feeding to lower population.

Thank

Hi vetteguy,

Thank you very much.. will do that . A quick side question... are these detritus worms good or bad... meaning will they attack/damage corals?
