Many white semi spiral things on hammer base

Just noticed these tiny white dots on the base of my hammer. Upon zooming in, they look like they are semi spirals. The hammer itself doesn't seem affected and pe is great. In this shot, the lights just came on so they are in the process of extending... Which is how i saw the white dots. When fully extended, that area with the white dots are covered.
Any idea?

Above is correct. They are just a harmless filter feeder. They grow every where seems like.
