I have a march pump that I used in the past for brewing beer, and I'm wondering if I could use it as my saltwater mixing station pump. It would be in the basement and feed the aquarium on the first floor. Aside from the head height and if it's powerful enough, my main concern is the fact that its made with metal components. So I am wondering if its better to consider pump made specifically to handle salt water. Anyone out there use such a pump?

My pump is stainless steel and I’m wondering if I’d be ok flushing it with RO after each time saltwater is ran through it.
