How long can it last out of a sump. Meaning in a bag. I was given some in a bag but haven't put it in due to no lights. I got it Saturday night. It has water in the bag and is sitting by a window to get light. Will it go bad?

I had my bubble go out and mine was fine for a week with no light. I wouldn't recommend waiting a week to get a light. I would put it in the sump should be fine for a couple days. Could use a lamp for temporary lighting.

I would just put it in the sump. Needs circulation.

Ok I throw it in there. Can I use one of those cf bulbs that say day light on it? It's not 6500k I think it's 5000k?

Yes you can. But try to get a 6700k (pink)

Where do you find a 6700k at? Home Depot only had 5000k when I went. A pet store? Or reptile store? Or a hydroponic store?

The 5000K will work just fine for Macro Algae even long term, but would not do well for any Coral frags placed under it for very long.
