Marco vs Reef Cleaners

Has anyone ordered both Marco Rock and Reef Cleaner Rock and compared the two?

I've heard Marco Rock is lighter and thus better for bacteria than Reef Cleaners. But others say Marco Rock falls apart too easily.

I need like 250lb more and wanted advice before getting more.

I have Marco rock. It doesn’t really fall apart, but if you are looking at punching holes through I think that might be a concern. I epoxied together 5 ft worth of rock when I aquascaped. I had better luck attaching them together with Aquamaxx epoxy over Emarco. Aquamaxx epoxy was easier and cleaner to use imo.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on 200lb of Marco Rock last night. I have 46lb (of a 50lb order) of Reef Cleaners currently. Looks like I'll be able to compare the two and let everyone know.

Good to know about the epoxy. What about the eMarco was difficult?

I had a few joints break off with EMarco because it’s a bit more difficult to ensure the joints are fully cemented. With the epoxy I was able to take my time and push the epoxy into the rock to ensure the joints were epoxied down. I had no joints break with the Aquamaxx epoxy. It was also cleaner. I didn’t have cement pebbles everywhere like I did with the emarco.
