Hello, i am new to this hobby and want to ask about the fluval flex 123 marine. Is it good quality tank and do i need to change something on it? I will have like 2 clownfish and banggai cardinal fish. After several months, i am going to get some corals like anemone and 2,3 more different types. I hear that this tank's filter is trash and not enough and the light isn't good. Is that true and can i just add lights, without removing the stock one?

These are my questions about it and thank you!

Fluval and innovative marine make good quality tanks

Also, please refrain from posting non emergency as an emergency. There are those with leaks, loss of livestock and spikes in levels that are deemed emergency which is a crisis type situation

Good tank, but your overpaying for glass. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, on the Fluvals has to be upgraded in order to run a decent system. Lighting, pumps, media, media basket, etc. are all bare bones on this thing. I learned my lesson with Fluval after I bought a 13.5 Evo as an office tank. Ended up costing me twice as much as just getting everything separately. Tank looks awesome now, but not worth what I’ve spent on it. If you want an all in one, go with an IM… At least their pumps/media/media baskets are good from the go. You’ll still have to purchase lighting separately, but at least you get to choose in that instance instead of getting something that can barely keep a zoa or mushroom alive. That’s just my honest opinion on the subject as someone who owns a Fluval.
