Hi everyone,

I noticed today that our Comet has some scratches/cuts on its head. I assume it’s from hiding in the rocks and swimming through some of our narrower passages. Is there anything we should be concerned with or anything I can be doing to help her out (we decided she’s a her).

Thanks!

Mike

I had a pair and they chewed each other up pretty bad ...otoh Those are easily one of the toughest marine fish around...took me 7yrs to kill my pair and believe me I tried

Good to know, here’s one more photo, hard to really capture. Seems healthy otherwise so y’all think yes it’s just some scuffs and no action necessary?

I'd watch and see. If it gets worse or looks strange or looks like infection, I'd be worried.

It's friday and some folks are not around. They will give you better advice if needed.

Had this happen a couple of times with mine, once like yours and another when a friend accidently spooked it and it took a massive lump out of its head. Both times I left it to it but kept a close eye on it and it healed pretty quickly on its own. These fish are tough and I'd be surprised if you needed to step in.
