My wife is going to kill me, but she does not understand that as these coral grow, they need more and more supplement.... she thinks it's pretty and if she want's it to stay that way (and get prettier), she's gonna have to live with it :squigglemouth:.

I've read a few forums on this, with people that have had experience with them back a couple years. I think for the price and the fact that the digital timers are built in, for $179.00 shipped from Hong Kong, I think its a great deal... Similar Bubble Magnus sell for $300 Plus and they look like they came from the 70's... the Marine Magic has a very sleek updated design... Almost like a Reef Keeper. One thing I did note in my research is that the newer units do not have a back up battery to keep the settings ... but thankfully, I just installed a back up UPS to run my main pump in case of a power blip and I just so have 1 available outlet for this doser

The Ebay Seller has almost 600 feedback which is 100% positive. I'm feeling pretty good about this purchase... it is expected to arrive by March 8th, so I will keep everyone updated on how it goes... Here is a link to the Ebay Auction.

Also.... I'm a dosing newb.... based on my testing I'm using about 10ppm Calcium per day, so if anyone wants to chime in on what I should be running through this thing, I would appreciate it. Most seem to be doing 2 part... i don't have a clue what "Balling is" bust it seems to be a triple threat of Calcium, Mag and Alk... some insight here would be appreciated as well... I also don't understand why people seem to want their fish intoxicated with Vodka... maybe they are more entertaining:tongue: Whats the deal with that?? Anyways... I'm always learning new stuff, so here we go....

lol. i ordered one as well this week but got 10 dollars off. a friend is using it with great results so i hope it means well.

Keep us updated on how it works out, I've been tossing around the idea of purchasing one of.these.eBay dosers instead of.the BM as well. Just keep thinking if I went cheaper and it failed I would really regret not spending the extra 150 on a proven brand name doser

I will refrain from linking to a competitor's forum but I would direct you to the "other" large Reef Forum and search for a thread with this "marine magic doser" There is a thread that was started in 2010... every known issue with the product is contain in that thread.... Also replacement pump heads are cheap (20 USD + shipping) If you order a doser, you may want to subsequently order replacement heads... not that they wear out quickly. (unless used improperly, or excessively), but if one does wear out, it takes 2 weeks to get replacement parts. I would contact the seller to see about combining shipping on these items as Shipping From HK is costly. Most people on the thread have said their customer service is very good.

Cool, so I have a wingman.... keep me posted.... when is yours supposed to arrive?

Told the wife....can't cancel its coming from hong kong.... she wasn't that mad... but I do have twins on the way... I need to scale back a bit... guess the GFO will have to wait until I sell a house grrr :mad2:

I have one. The instructions you will get are kind of sketchy. The seller always answered any question I had and now im dialed in. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. The seller provided me with ship tracking. The longest wait is when it got to US customs but other then that its all good. The only problem I really had was the timer was running fast but I emailed the seller and he sent me a new board and I just kept an eye on it until it came. Its been spot on since.

Awesome man... I will definitely check in with you if I have problems... as with any reef project, I know I will :)

i would not use mg for the 3rd pump. it is not needed very often. if you water changes frequent it should take care of your mag

To be honest, I just ordered my dosing pump today. I went with a bubble magus.

But I have been dosing two part for over a year manually. And yes I always shake before.

BRS is a great brand and company. I have used ESV 2 part as well.

I am most likely going to use the third pump for a few additives I have found to be beneficial that I currently have to dose manually. I think it will be okay, but i plan on mixing zeovit pohls xtra, coral vitalizer, amino acids, and then dilute with ro/di. My lps and sps love that stuff.

Just came today.... Excited but can't commit any time to it right now... Grrr..

Can't wait to hear what you think about it.....

I'm still undecided between one of these, or the SWC set up.
