Hi all, my old tropical AR980 is 215L i'm changing over to the dark side..

I'm going Fish only with Live Rock but with views to putting in Corals later on so starting out with Red Sea coral pro salts.

I have the built in filter all cleaned out with all new media, pipes all cleaned out etc.

Also bought a new 4 basket filter with Uv light

We've been given a TMC v2 400 skimmer which should be enough however there was no pump with it. Is it worth spending £45 on a pump for it or a new skimmer or even possibly a cheaper pump that would work just as well?


It's an unsumped AR980..What skimmer do I go for? It's going to have to be internal/hang on? Anyone got one with the original stand and sumped it? The most space inside it is, 430mm x 330mm so is it worth putting in something so small?
