Marine Pure... Anyone use 'em?

This product seems great! Has anyone experienced leaching of aluminum in their system? I want to remove all of my substrate (crushed coral and sand mix) and put these in my sump instead. How does everyone else use these?

I have the spheres in my sump on a shelf between my refugium and return pump.

how do your nitrates test? I currently have 25-50 nitrate and 0 phosphate. I'm thinking my mixed 3" substrate was holding it all in.

Last time I tested, 2-7ppm. I don't test for phosphate.

Yes, some people do experience elevated aluminum that probably comes from them. I've not seen number so high it is clearly an acute issue, however.

To me it sounds like my 5 gallon refugium will like these better than macroalgae. Or maybe a combination of both of them...

Fwiw, they obviously do nothing for phosphate while macroalgae does.

I have the large block in my sump. When I get a Triton test I will see what my aluminum is at.
