Was on their web site and google and could not find any indication aside from the gems what the capacity recommendation was per unit. I have The following I am trying to figure out:

1 8x8x4 Block
1 Gallon 1.5" Spheres

So far the only hint I have found it the tiny pack of gems is rated at 70 gallons per pack, but it is a different shape than the others which would effect capacity.

I found some numbers. For the block I they say "treats up to 250 gallons" but also say that for denitrification for 250g you'd need 2 blocks in a low flow area of your system. For the spheres, 1-2gallons is listed for 500gallons. Nitrification only obviously. But all of that is useless really depending on bioload. They do contain a large amount of surface area, but I've used 4 blocks in a 240 gallon and I've also used 2 blocks on a 24gallon NPS system due to the high load. So which kind you want depends on your goal for it and what need you have for increasing your biological filtration.

Thanks, Right now my bioload on my 125 is fairly low but I like to put as much as possible in for in case of an emergency like something dying and I dont catch it right away. Total wise I currently have the following:

1 8x8x4 block
1 Gallon 1.5" Spheres
4 Packs of Gems

So...Possibly upwards of 1030ish. With plans to add another 3 gallons of 1.5" spheres. Maybe I am being paranoid about ammonia and nitrification but I figure if I have space in my system why not? It will have a high bioload eventually so I figure the more the better.

If you have a decent amount of rock and sand, it can likely handle a lot or be able to adjust just fine right now. But it is your system and if you want to use the space for that you can, it won't hurt.

Thanks, I modified my overflows awhile back so they are able to recirculate, originally I was thinking for a pod habitat but figure why not use the spheres to double as both. Its got pumps in the bottom that are at 400 gph that have a PVC line going to the top of the overflow where it splits. Each overflow can fit roughly 2 gallons with the current right side already having about a gallons worth. Plus it will keep the clown fish out of the overflow lol.

Edit: Just to clarify, that is in addition to the Return line pipes already in it.
