Marine safe adhesive for HOB filter cover

I have started setting up a seahorse aquarium and have a HOB filter that I want to make a black Perspex cover for as I find it unsightly. What adhesive do people recommend for glueing the Perspex together that is safe for a marine tank?

Is that just another name for acrylic? If so, I'd use weldon 4 for nice neat joints, and perhaps weldon 16 on the inside to offer a little reinforcement.
