Hi all I do believe I have marine velvert in my tank I was battling his levels in the tank and they have now settled fish all still eating I'm not sure how to proceed have a puffer fish and clowns and few damsels ideally I want something I can add into the tank got a uv running aswell now to help out any other ideas

You need to pull them out and treat them with copper or run hyposalinity and take the inverts out if it's velvet. Post pics under white light so we can confirm.

@Jay Hemdal @vetteguy53081 will help. Puffers dont do well with copper, these guys can provide more info! They also will want to see videos and pictures in white light to help confirm it actually is velvet before advising you further

Velvet is typically diagnosed by rapid breathing and the fish swimming into the flow. Any spots or dusting isn’t often seen, as the fish dies first.
Puffers will tolerate coppersafe well.

Yeah - as far as I know they won’t do well with cupramine.
Added some videos
could you post the videos as YouTube links? It’s easier to view on mobile.

Please describe symptoms such as appetite, appearance, swimming in path of water flow and mainly video and pics under white light intensity for clear assessment
Not sure how assessments are being made without this

Velvet is a fast killer, unlike ick.
If your fish have velvet, will die in 2-3days if that.
Not thinking that’s velvet. It doesn’t look like any velvet I’ve seen, usually uncountable dots, very tiny, over large section, like dust.
I see mucus around mouth and something stuck to it.

Looks more like late stage ich to me - either way, treatment is the same.
Get the fish into copper asap.
It should be administered in a separate qt at 2.25 ppm (for coppersafe or copper power) and the display tank should remain fishless for 60 days.

Are you confident in your diagnosis? Velvet is a lot rarer than ich is, and with velvet, the fish usually stop feeding pretty soon into the infection.

Can you post a video of the fish?

Jay

Lost my clown fish today so I'm really not sure what to do only tank I've got access to is a 30l tank and that's far to small for the puffer fish so I need help on doing hypo salinity all fish are covered in a film like ich running uv aswell to try help out
