Hello all, I am a bit curious on how to go forward with my situation. I currently have a 45 gallon reef tank and 2 of my fish acquired Marine Velvet. I removed them and they are currently in a QT tank. So, I purchased a new red sea 350 and it will be here within the week. My question is, can this Marine velvet attach itself to the live rock? I want to get rid of this smaller tank and move the live rock into the new tank. Should I risk it, or start from scratch?

Don't bother using anything from the velvet tank unless it is sterilized. Tbh I wouldn't let a drop of old tank water get into the new tank until the old tank has been fallow for the required time

Even the corals? I can dip them before trans?
