Marine Velvet

I have a blue tang in qt that I beleive had marine velvet. I am using Cuprion at .25 and it has cleared up. I also did 5 ml of prazipro for 3 days. I have had him in there for 1 week. Should I get something for possible bacteria infections? Fish is eating LRS foods and some formula 2. Thanks for your help.

You'll want to keep the copper level there for a full thirty days and run prazi again in 2 or 3 more days after a water change. It's always a good idea to have a wide-spectrum antibiotic on hand (kanaplex, furan 2, ect)

Unless you are seeing red marks or some other sign of a bacterial infection, then I wouldn't treat for one.

However, you will want to dose Prazipro again, 5-7 days after the initial dosage.

Thank you for your help. I am glad I did not wait on the copper because I thought at first it was ich. But it was more scattered and small white specks.
