Marine vs Tropical vs Nano vs Predatory

Ok so by this we mean (without the arguing) to drop the lionfish and keep the puffer in the group. You can add angels and other large tangs as well but leave the lion out of it
Actually the whole list is inappropriate for a 185 gallon except for the eel (depending on footprint) and the lionfish

Maybe if you had a properly sized aquarium for your shark you would understand. These sharks are extremely active at night even being fed to satiation. In fact, they are pretty active during the day as well with a properly sized enclosure. Tell me, does this shark look skinny to you? Because she is swimming 20% of the time.

Is it kept with adaquete caves or more of an open swimming area? Are there other sharks kept with it or is it by itself? These dynamics also affect the behavior.

How is a shark that swims a whopping 20% of the time in any more danger from a lionfish's spines than a fish that is constantly zipping along and prone to being skittish
Sorry! I was supposed to say 685!! Is that big enough?
the first number was a typo he corrected to this.

Absolutely it does, because benthic sharks have huge blind spots and are not extremely coordinated swimmers... I have kept sharks alone and together, this swimming behavior only changes slightly, and yes, there are plenty of places to hide, and they enjoy swimming from cave to cave.

I am only basing it on my personal experiences, which is a handful of cases. But the only fish I have seen get stung by a lionfish is a flagtail grunt and a sohal tang, never a shark.

So how many times have you seen benthic sharks and lions kept and what percentage of the sharks were injured by the lion through clumsy swimming? 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%?

Guys he said 685 gallons... so yes his list is appropriate. Please read the full thread before commenting further.

Also every fish and aquarist experience is different. There for each of you may have had a different experience and are just stating what happened. There is no need to argue and more importantly there is no need to derail this thread.

Also, the original posted tank size has been edited to reflect the intended 685 gallons.

Im extremely interested in how the 685 gal tank is going to be set up do you have any information on that?
