I don't see how that light will support corals in a frag tank. I run a 90W fixture on my 24 and 2 x 120W fixtures on my 120. Yeah, I have 90 x 1W diodes on my 24g tank. This fixture you show only has 6 x 1W diodes. It's not going to provide nearly enough light. Unfortunately there are only cons for this fixture. And considering the money you would be MUCH better off doing a DIY from reef led lights.

ok, so for a 12 gal frag tank what diy led fixture should i look into?

for the reef brites how many Reef Brite Mini Mag LED Whites would i need, just 1,2?

If i went with a diy kit from reefledlights which one would be best for my 12 gal frag tank?

im trying to grow at the least lps and softies, but I would really like to be able to grow all from softies to sps

Get at least a 12 LED kit. You could get away with a 24 LED kit but that will be pretty bright and you would want the dimmable controls.

I can't guarantee it but I will say probably but high up in the tank. With the 24 you can grow pretty much anything, I would guess.
