Does anyone have this type of led lighting looking to upgrade but still be able to keep anemones and lps

How deep is your tank?

Over most 18" to 24" deep tanks you should be looking at fixtures that use 3 watt leds or better. Marineland and Current use very low wattage leds, like 0.3 to 0.5 watts and try to make up for the lack of watts by using more leds. But that limits the ability to penetrate deeper tanks than 10" to 12". Over shallow tanks these two are acceptable.

Im upgrading to a 40 gallon breeder so im thinking the tank will be too deep for thoose leds right?

Marineland LED's are ok for freshwater and that's about it, wouldn't use them for reef lighting. I'd suggest a reefbreeders fixture. I don't really know what your budget is so can't really make many recommendations for you.

I have Marineland Led reef capable now in my 120g, they only work for softies and some zoas, lps are a challenge under these lights.

Gooburz, On the reefbreeders lighting what size would i need for a 40 gallon breeder

Akida17th would that fixture fit on a 40 gallon breeder?

yes one fixture would be fine since you can adjust the height (if hanging them) and control the light intensity but they are strong so acclimate accordingly. I can't give any insight on the reef breeders but I've heard good things. I utilized the ocean revive fixture and had good experience and had no problem growing anything and I housed all types of anemones under them (carpets bta's flowers mini maxis).

I am using the 24" model, mine is made by Coral Compulsion but it is the same fixture. I don't have shadowing on my tank and haven't had a issue growing anything so far. I have mushrooms, zoas, frogspawn, birdsnest, open brain, gsp and all are growing like crazy. Very happy with this light and the programming options it has, the Reef Breeders has the same type of programming and a remote!
