Yup. Thats the only thing they are good for.But would the marineland single bright LEDs be good for a fish only with live rock

I sustained coral with the 40 dollar marineland "led aquarium light" as the packaging so eloquently is named. Not recommending or endorsing this at all but I bought the light initially just to light my tank and got a few frags for free to try stuff out. Amazingly a Duncanopsammia axifuga, and many zoas thrived, even one type of acan, they were eating regularly and everything. A few sps and a candy cane coral however hated it and we're not so lucky. Luckily I have ordered a reef breeders value fixture so I'm not making that mistake anymore. It is a testament though to the hardiness of some of these life forms, if you can sustain organisms with equipment that is far inferior for the task at hand. With that said if you're going long term for coral keeping I would definitely invest in a DIY led setup or a company like reef breeders who have very good products at affordable costs.
