Marineland skimmer

There are always bad reviews on everything....for that price especially I am willing to chance it. Marineland anyway has good customer service. I was just wondering if anyone has hands on experience with this....there isn't very much online about it.

Ya that's a good point. When you get the skimmer post how its working and skimming for the tank.
 
So I got one delivered on Friday and there was a broken part so I returned it. I received a new one today and put it in my sump. It seems fairly well built with an Italian made pump. It's kind of cool that its an all in one and goes straight from the box to the sump. Its pretty quiet and seems to be making bubbles pretty well but only time will tell if it skims well. If it does, a 300 gallon skimmer for $60 new is pretty dang good. It was selling for $300 when it first came out.

Let us know how it skims when its broken in. It would be interesting to see, if it works well might by one for my stand alone frag system for $60.
 
Well as of now there is only one left and I don't know if these can be found anywhere else.
 
Bought that skimmer a couple years ago. Ran it on a 125 gallon reef. The pump went out after 6 months and I had major problems getting in touch with Marineland to get a new one.

Well it should have a 1 year warranty and I've always had good luck with thier customer service. How was the skimmer before it broke? The pump is a NJ3000

Lol...i turned it off earlier and when i plugged it back in it didn't turn on
 
I take it back. I took it out and placed it in a bucket and it worked fine....I think i will test it out
