Can I use this media in my sump just under the intake where my filter socks are?

Was meant to have a refugium and ended up going the reactor route instead and now have them and not sure where to use them.

Any suggestions?

You can use them practically anywhere, As long as they don't get caked in lots of detritus they will be very effective.

Thought I read somewhere that these types of bio-brick media were recommended for non high flow areas. Might want to see if this is true and if the area you are referring to considered high flow.
