Have some good news and bad news

Bad news is, I'd lost all of my sps corals but 4
Not even sure what happened.

Here is what my 65 use to look like

You can see a difference between the two photos. I am little bummed out about. But I do have a brighter side
of this situation I went through.........

Good news is.........I get to say goodbye to the two Penquin HOB filters and goodbye to the Seaclone
because how i get to start over with a 29g refugium sump (better filtration) and a Bubble Magus NAC3 skimmer.
Hooked up the sump 2 1/2 weeks ago

used a 29g for my fuge/sump. The fuge area holds 6g by itself, over all holding capacity of sw is 14g total.
Only I would change if I were to make another one, I'd definitely make a detris trap before going into the return area.
Other than that, this sump is getting the job done well.

Hooked up and running.
The return pump I am using is a Quiet One 2200. I paid $25 for it new and still in th box.
So I cannot complain.
I do have shutoff valves and have a union valve

Added a few pieces of live in the refugium area

the skimmer seems to be working pretty well. I cannot get over how impressed I am over this new
skimmer.

How have some macro inside the refugium area and added couple more pcs of live rock
Also bought a new led light for the refugium. Nothing special, just a Par20 white led 3k at
Lowes. I will get a more suited here soon

Thanks for ya time
MarK-

Sorry to hear about the losses Mark, I'm sure you'll be back to where you were in no time. The sump looks great!

Yea sorry about the loss buddy. What happened?

To be honest, I'm not clear of what happened.
All I know is a week later after setting up the sump (at this point both of the HOB filters were taken off) the sps started bleaching out. 2nd week, sps
were all gone but 4.
Should of kept at least one of the HOBs on for awhile til the newness of the sump would be gone.
