Marks on Firefish

I bought a purple firefish about a month ago. He has acclimated nicely with my clown and six line, but since has had flatworms. I treated the tank with Prazipro about two weeks ago, and haven't seen any new worms so I didn't retreat after 7 days. Today when i got back from work he had strange marks in the middle of his body. Doesn't look like the original lesions, so wondering if its a lightning strike from the snapping shrimp?

I had a six line once that picked on a firefish so bad he went into the rocks and didn't come out. I thought he was dead...traded in the sixline. was taking lr out to put in my bigger tank and he popped out! Nearly starved and ragged but alive.lol

That looks like an injury/cut that is mildly infected. You can try just adding vitamins to his food (Selcom, Vitachem as examples) But having an antibiotic like kanaplex or furan 2 is a good idea along with a small QT in case it's needed.

It does look like an injury to me, and I would highly suspect the Sixline. However, Pistol Shrimp will lunge at any fish (except their goby) that mistakenly enters "the lair".
