HLLE is caused by a couple things, nutrient deficiency is one of them. Check out this thread by @Humblefish Brine shrimp is very low in nutrients. If you can, go to frozen cubes. Get an assortment of several varieties. For tangs: seaweed, mysis, etc. Put into a tupperware container and let it "slump." Mix with a few drops of a vitamin like Zoecon, which is formulated to help with HLLE. The mix will stay good in your fridge for a few days. My fish love the "smoothie."What would you suggest instead?
