Don't get me wrong, I trust my local fish shops but sometimes things do get through and we don't want to risk the system for a single addition.

I hear you, I have had good luck so far (knock on wood) and even some ich but have been able to treat the fish in tank with no issues. I trust this LFS with keeping my tank disease free. I am also looking at buying from TSM for some fish.
