I came home today and notice my bigger of two maroon clowns has a gash on its Dorsal fin. Can anyone help me figure out what happened and tell me what I need to do to watch for etc.

likely an injury due to aggression, could also be running against sharp rocks.

Most times these things heal on their own if there’s no further aggression or issues. I don’t like the discoloration around the wound so either you can remove the clown and treat with antibiotics now or observe for a day or two and see if it progresses and then treat.

If there’s any aggression between the two I would move this one to an acclimation box at least

They seem to be past physical altercation they haven’t fought in a week or so. I just watched my CBS try to corner it could that be the culprit?

CBS coral banded shrimp? Then absolutely yes

Yes I have a coral banded shrimp
I’ve had it for about 6 months and it hasn’t tried to attack any of my other cardinals, basslet, blenny, or tang

I just got the two maroons last week

Yeah they will sometimes go rogue. Not sure if there’s a way to get them to calm down, maybe try feeding it more but doubt it.

#reefsquad?

If your water quality is great the wound should heal on it's own within a week, I wouldn't worry about it other than what caused it especially if it happens again.

I tested two days ago and have 0 nitrate nitrite and ammonia

I dont test any of those except nitrate once a month. I really just go off what my corals look like, if they are colorful and growing then the water is pristine IMO so it would be good enough for the fish.

The CBS could be the culprit, but my first thought was to ask if you have a tang, and I see you do, maybe keep an eye on that too.

The wound should heal on it's own pretty fast.

I do have a tomini tang but he has been in the tank for almost a year and hasn’t shown aggression to any fish up to this point.
