I'm probably gonna get a flame hawkfish.
But I was also wondering, would a coral beauty angelfish be compatible? Would they be able to take the wrath of a maroon clown? My clowns have settled down a lot now that they're paired up . But I don't wanna make them angry lol

I would say yes but start using a acclimation box . Maroon can kills lionfish so I would be concerned about the hawkfish and CB

Lol my female maroon did actually kill a lionfish :( I'll definitely do that

Do you think a dwarf angel would be compatible?
I suppose its case by case. My maroons don't bother any of my fish but they are still small. I also have a 75. Lots of rock work so they all have their space. Only fish I ever see chase another is my lawnmower

If they are established they can view ANY new addition as an intruder. An acclimation box is the only way to tell.

I think that a hawkfish and dwarf angel are potentially good tank mates for maroon clowns in a 75.

As stated, maroon clowns can be really vicious, so be prepared.

Haha i believe it! They even go after my arms in the tank. Now, i heard angels can munch
on corals, is that something i should worry about?

It's a bit of a gamble, but many folks keep them in reefs. Fleshy lps, like acans, or zoas can be tasty to angels.

What corals do you keep?

All zoas for now.. i guess that may be an issue?

... probably not....but maybe.

You'll have to decide.

Agre with this. I would love a coral beauty but I also really love my LPS so not sure its worth it.

I'm either just lucky or my fish are still so young that have not gotten that aggression yet.

These tank raised maroons are weirdos. My lighting is hosted by the corner of my tank and my gold nugget is digging out a massive burrow lol. Will be getting them a bta soon so hopefully they can act more natural

This. Coinflip.

Hmm.. i guess i'll have to think about it. Is there anything else that might work that won't eat corals?

You could put a Pirannah-Shark-Bigfoot in the tank and it might make the clowns mad. It's literally a coinflip, especially after they killed your lion. I remember your thread about that.

My current stocking in my 75 is

Gold nugget
Lightning
Flame hawk
3 firefish
Lawnmower
Black cap basslet
Fox face
Tailspot blenny
Six line

All is well but suppose only time will tell. My six line actually likes to hang with the clowns but I will be removing him because I want other wrasses

Hmm i like that stocking. Ill look into some of those
