I am redoing my 29 biocube and am thinking about adding a yellow striped maroon clownfish in my tank. Other than that the only other fish in the tank will be a splendid dottyback. Nothing in stone yet just want to hear some opinions.

Maroon clownfish get pretty big up to 6 inches and are territorial and aggressive , I don`t know if your 29 biocube be big enough for both, the dottyback is also aggressive and territorial , I hope someone else will give you some input on this matter besides me;)

My advice would be add them both last and at the same time. Depending on rock work you should be fine. But it's all gonna be temporary cause the clown will out grow the tank.

Yeah, after posting this and looking at liveaquaria I see they get up to 6 ". That is a done deal for me. I still am considering the dottyback though. I want to do something different this time.

Coolest biocube I ever seen was a slightly over stocked with fish and crammed full of over 60 different zoas.

Off the top of my head here's you a list.

A trio of fire fish gobies.

A pair of skunk clowns.

Dottyback.

Cleaner shrimp or arrow crab!

McCosker Flasher Wrasse Purple Firefish Royal Gramma Blackcap Basslet Shrimp Goby Pistol Shrimp Combo .;)

I would be wary of most dottybacks with firefish, but ideas for a biocube would include: barnacle blenny colony, pearly jawfish, circus goby, Chrysiptera damsels.

Personally, wouldn't put a pair of pink skunk clowns in a 29, they get too big.

What species of anemone? What lights does your tank have?

Not sure what species yet . I have the rapid led retro kit so lighting is not an issue.
