I have two nano tanks in my house, one of them was ravaged by what I think is velvet which killed a reg clown and a dottyback. The glass cleaner from that tank was moved to my gold nugget maroons' tank for a bit (by one of my siblings) recently I've noticed that my female gnm has this dark blueish splotch on exactly the same place on both sides of her body, is she sick or is it natural, they are the first pair of maroon clowns I've owned so I'm not sure. Also they seem somewhat sluggish when the lights are on but when they are off they're completely fine

Did you go fallow in the other tank after the fish died? How long was the tank fallow when the magnet was transferred to the Maroon's tank?

The tank wasn't fallow I'm treating the tank with copper so there were and still are fish in the sick tank

It's hard to tell cuz it's a white clown so like there isn't rly discoloration that I can see other then that and like if it were velvet I can't rly see the cysts cuz they r white

I looked it up and I read two things, 1) it doesn't affect aquacultured fish 2) and that the symptoms don't coincide with that of my clowns

Lateral line does effect aquacultured fish. It can effect any fish, the thing is that you don't usually see it most fish. You mostly see it on tangs, but it's possible for it to effect others. This, however, isn't lateral line.

The bad news is you very possibly cross contaminated your tanks and introduced velvet into the tank. I don't see anything wrong with these fish though so you have two options. Treat them anyway with 30 days of copper, or just wait and see what happens knowing that you might have to treat them anyway.

So I have the cupramine so it's all good but what do I do with the corals and inverts or do I use a qt and also I used cupramine and it didn't he'll I still lost a clown to velvet

If you decide to treat prophylactically with copper, then you'll want to do it in QT. You would leave the display they are in fallow for 76 days.
