Maroon clowns eating nems

Hi,

I need more info and help. We have several marroon clowns (pairs) and 1 pair has been hosting these bubble tip nem for awhile now but lately it has shrunken and the female maroon was biting and yanking the tentacles. I have seen this in the past but they stopped after few times. This time, they just kept going at it like they are actually eating it? Is this normal or should I move the clowns away from the nem for awhile? I hope I can understand why they are doing this.

I would move the clowns if it gets much worse. It's never happened to me, but I've heard of maroon clowns "loving anemones to death".

I know that clowns will bite the nems to increase their resistance occasionally as well

It’s pretty normal hosting behavior. I wouldn’t worry.

Is the anemone still shrunken?
