I have two maroon clowns in a 150 mixed reef with 3 btas. Been together about 4-5 weeks. The female is 2x as big as the male, which is about an inch. Initially the female would be pretty rough with the male, tatter his fins, etc. currently, I see no signs of aggression, but the male will not go in the anemones where the female is. He usually hangs out about a foot away, will sometimes come and get real close, but never goes in. The female used to chase him away, but now does not seem to care. I am not sure if they are paired or not. My main assumption is that if the female rejected him she would not tolerate his presence at all. Any experience with this? Tks!
