Is this about aliens?Think Jonah and the Whale.
I completely understand. However, we've seen videos of occ/percs with all sorts of unnatural host including other clowns. I decided to look specifically at maroon with ritteris and there are literally no videos whatsoever. With that being said, will the maroon absolute not take the ritteri.Since the natural host anemone for maroons are BTAs, I think most people just opt for those instead of the harder to find and keep ritteri.
The most common clownfish people keep are percula and ocellaris, and one of the natural host anemones for those two are ritteri--so you oftentimes see those paired together.
You may seen numerous posts about the difficulties of getting percula and ocellaris to use a BTA as a host anemone because it's not their natural host. You'd be doing the same trying to get a maroon to have a ritteri host.
Not at all true. Maroons are known to not be picky by any means in captivity with their choice of host anemone. They will go in carpets as well. H. magnifica are very similar to E. quadricolor.Since the natural host anemone for maroons are BTAs, I think most people just opt for those instead of the harder to find and keep ritteri.

I'm not saying it's can't be done, I'm just pointing out why you haven't seen many instances of it in captivity.I

Everything I said IS TRUE. I never said maroon clowns won't go into magnifica, it's just not instantaneous like you'd see with a BTA, or a percula/ocellaris with a magnifica. I breed percs and it's amazing to see them go into a natural host anemone as soon as I add them to the tank with both gigantea and magnifica. Not at all true. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! My Maroon pair will go through any of my dozen BTAs but not once have they even tried to go into my Mag.
The Pair of Ocellaris in the Mag are what remain of a harem, which I believe were whittled down by the female Maroon.
FWIW, the harem never went in any of the BTAs again after the Maroons were introduced.
