So I bought brs rock. Regular and shelf rock. Then I discovered hnsa after the fact. I don’t want to waste money I don’t have too. This hobby is already expensive enough! Think the two can be married to look cohesive? Here is the journey! Please comment. I do have thick skin and I can appreciate an outside the box perspective. The current pvc scale already has 2 inches removed from all sides so no concern on forgetting about cleaning space. Obviously the structure on the right hand side is just started. For the one on the left I feel it’s done except for that extension on the right. I feel thst bit of rock just speaks to me and needs additions. Thanks for ykur time and again, I’m thick skinned.

You seem to be off to a good start. I like the PVC rig to get perspective.

For the first structure, I had mixed feelings on the overhangs. If you want areas of shadow for inhabitants that require less PAR, this is a positive.

For the second structure on the right, looks good. Some might say it is small; however, it you want the triangle look of the "Rule of Threes," you are on track.

Think about how it will look initially with the corals you pick. Then imagine it grown out with those corals.

If you could add side pictures from the left and right, that would help.

Looking forward to your progress,
Jim

I feel like the cave on the left is going to trap a lot of detritus. It takes up a good amount of floor space being that low but still high off the bottom (if that makes sense). How much sand, if any, are you adding? Side pics will help. As PA mentioned, think about what corals you want. In cases shade from above is good, in some bad. Just think of light and flow as 3d 360 degree/rotational model i.e. top down, sides, front back, angles. What pumps and location make a difference when designing too. The fish matter as well...open for swimmers..more hiding spots for sand dwellers etc..
