Could I get away with one black box on a 40 breeder with lps and softies

I have 3 on my frag tank and i run them at ~10" or so and found they put out ~450 par with the lenses on and about ~125-150 with the lenses taken off. Thats at 12" depth since its a shallow frag tank. I took all the lenses off 2 of mine and left 1/2 the lenses on the 3rd light for a section i grow SPS in for higher par. Rest is lps/softies which are much happier with less light.

Removing the lenses is REALLY easy to do, lots of guides on youtube.

36x36x12. Kind of overkill on the light but i found im getting pretty solid growth. I found the blackbox led's spotlight super bad. directly under them they had 450-550 par but off 6" they had 50 par and a bit further out they had 10-15 par.

the horizontal one is where i keep the sps. I was really happy with how even the Par was spread along the tank. If you have a deep tank its possible removing the lenses may lower the penetration to the deeper part of the tanks.
