How long should I be keeping my blues vs whites on? Starting with softies/LPS but eventually will be mixed reef. Lights are on basic on/off timers (no ramping)

I'm thinking 6-7hrs of white to coincide with an extra hour of blue before and after

I'm between using them at the moment (long story ... switching tanks at that location in my house), but have my blues come on at 6:30 so that I can see and feed the fish before I leave for work. Whites on at 11:00, off at 7:00, so that I can see the tank and feed the fish after I get home - blues off at 8:30 in case I need to actually _do_ anything before the lights go away, like a water change or something . . .

Then again, I've battled Bryopsis, so . . . (>_<)

But do you run any blues at all while the white are on Bruce , and what percentage of whites are you running ?

That's understandable however I'm not home that much. So I see no need to run longer than needed. I guess I'm looking for a minimum time frame with decent growth.

This is my ramp up and down schedule , any comments or advice appreciated!!
