Marsaqua or SB or other black box?

Hello Everyone,

I have a 4 foot 120 gallon mixed reef that I'm looking to upgrade to some black boxes. I'm trying to keep my budget around 250 give or take.

I like the price point or Marsaqua and the reviews seem to be really good. I recently learned of SB Reef and they seem to have a popular following. Price is a little higher and I see a lot of people having to use the warranty on them for several reasons. I did take notice to some other black boxes in the lower price ranges but they seem pretty generic.

If the spectrum of the SB Reef really that much better than Marsaqua?

Any advice on which direction to go would be appreciated.

Yes. The SB are that much better. They just are.

I have 4 SB reef lights over my 2 tanks, the lights are great until you have a problem than their customer service absolutely sucks

I run 2x 300 watt MarsAqua on my 220 and 2x 300 watts over my custom 80x18x10 frag tank system and love them. Waiting to get some par numbers taken but am also looking to supplement with 4x 36" ATI blue+
