Been rather busy tonight as moved a load of live rock into my new 6x2x2 tank which I used about 600l of NSW and 150l of synthetic. I been collecting and using this NSW for about 5 months (when it's suitable) with brilliant results.
Any ways, few minutes after putting the live rock in every brittle star in the rock and we are talking hundreds climbed to the top of the rocks waved their arms in the water and spawned on mass, they literally turned a 750l setup milky!
I am sure the skimmers going to get most of it but what are the chances of anything surviving? Do they reproduce this way in captivity successfully? My old setup is being slowly moved over but only rock, coral and inverts. I am determined to get rid of the my PBT's constant mild white spot by leaving the new system fallow for 90 days, so with no fish could some survive?
