I see this guy roam around the cave in my aquarium every night, he is HUGE. He keeps getting bigger and has lots of red bristles too. Perhaps a type of fireworm? Should I worry? Video below

When in doubt, take it out. I found several fire worms when I bought my 10g tank with live rock. Look for the red gills between the bristles.

Yeah it was 100% a fire worm, I fed after lights out and caught him as he was roaming around my tank. I would say he is over a foot long when extended. Ill get some pics and upload soon. I euthanized him after capture.

I’ve never had any problems with bristle worms i never take them out of my tanks
This one in particular was a fireworm, it is a variation of bristleworm that has been known to go after coral and inverts. I have no issue with bristles, but I definitely do with this guy. I had a colony of AOI zoas eaten over a week by a fireworm that I removed, I probably still have more in my tank too.
