So, I’ve got a question for ya... I’ve got this massive finger leather, and it’s attached to a huge piece of rock that’s about 2ft long and 6” tall. I was going to set up a separate tank and frag it up, but I’ve found someone who wants to buy the whole thing. The problem is that I really would like to keep the rock that it’s attached to. Do you know if I can cut it off at the base without killing it? The stem is massive, probably 6-8” across.
(For perspective it’s a 75gal tank.)

I would be more concerned with getting it attached back to a suitable base, maybe tell the guy to give you money for the rock as well?

I would like to keep the rock if st all possible, I guess that was my point in asking. I could sell it with the added cost of the rock, but it’s such a great rock. I’ve never seen another like it.

I think you can cut it off like any other leather. whatever is left on th rock may grow back! That is what happened with my large toadstool.
