My question isn’t how to set it up, it’s how is the master/slave arrangement SUPPOSED to work? Like what’s the point/benefit? Thanks for the help

I have my gyres setup in a master/slave configuration alternating being on. The advantage is that you get the flow changing from one direct to the other back and forth. It makes for a nice wave in the tank also.

Yeah I didn’t think it was supposed to mirror, I thought it should some how “complement”, as in, alternate or something along those lines…

With many pumps you can setup how you want them to behave in relation to each other. My pumps are cheap ones so I believe the only master/slave option is for the two pumps to alternate being on. Which is what I wanted anyway so that the flow in tank is always switching directions.
